Well, after a while, I'm back. I was enjoying my vacation at home and at Anima Mundi, an international animation festival that takes place here in Sao Paulo - Brazil. I must say it was the highlight of my one month vacation.

It had been a while since the last time I saw so many sessions at the festival, and I'm glad that I was able to see so many great shorts by so many animation masters of our time, like Koji Yamamura ("The Old Crocodile"), Bill Plympton ("The Fan and the Flower"), Chris Landreth ("Ryan", this year's Academy Awards winner for short animation), Igor Kovalyov ("Milch"), and so many others. The great winner by the public was "Gopher Broke" by Blur Studio, hilarious. Another festival highlight was the Gobelins session, featuring shorts made by their students. Oh my, after that I'll sell hot dogs at the corner, I have no chance of beating those talents! My favorites at gobelins were "jurannessic", "La migration Bigoudenn", "Burp", and some others.

And every year Anima Mundi takes place in a different location. I must say that this year's location in Sao Paulo was excelent! It was close to a subway station and a cheap parking lot, I think everyone fit in there ok, the movie theaters were big enough, there was plenty of food options for everyone and if not for every budget, the subway station with cheaper options and risky and tasty street food was avaiable nearby.

And let's start working. Somehow, somewhere.
